We're proud to have been involved in a number of projects that have benefited our state, including the initial stages of the development of the North West Oil and Gas facility on the Burrup Peninsula of Western Australia.

Haulex Hire was founded over 40 years ago as a result of a vision to help turn Perth into a city of the future by providing plant hire services for its expansion.

Since then, we've been involved in many high-profile projects in Perth and regional Western Australia, and we've established a strong reputation in the civil and mining sectors.

We provide a wide range of excavators for wet and dry hire for long reach excavation, rock breaking, marine wall construction and more. We also have a team of fully qualified operators available when you hire equipment from us.

Our Corporate Profile - History

The mining and construction sector in Western Australia began expanding in the 1980s and soon required vast capital expenditure to remain competitive on the global market.

Haulex Managing Director, Sam Graham, saw an opportunity to capitalise on this rapid growth.

With extensive long-reach excavation and marine wall expertise, and a portfolio of projects that included Rous Head, South Mole, Fremantle Marina, Whitfords, Hillarys and Garden Island Causeway, Sam believed he could apply his expertise to the expansion of Perth.

To accommodate for this future growth, Sam formed Haulex as the plant hire division of Fargo Investments.

In 1990 Haulex Hire expanded its range of hydraulic excavators to cope with growing demand in rock breaking in the civil sector and rock grabs in the resource recycling sector.

The business continued to grow, and in the early 2000s Haulex secured a large excavator hire contract with Leighton Contractors, which propelled the business to a new height.

Today Haulex still maintains a presence in the iron ore regions of the state and the construction sector of the North-West.
